Mowtown Records
These moments in the history of Motown are labeled as "the greatest". They were things that people the next day were still talking about. Amazingly enough, they were things that people TODAY are still talking about. We've seen the incredicble things that our Motown superstars have achieved and it is easy to say that they are legends that have set the bar way high.

Remember....

Motown's 25th anniversary? Michael Jackson performed and reunited with his brothers on stage. That was great, wasn't it? It was definately a memorable moment. But it wasn't until our King of Pop began his solo performance to his hit single Billie Jean that jaws began dropping.  His slick moves were something that we had never seen before and almost seen effortless by Michael. This was the first time he showed the world his signature move on national television - the moonwalk.

Do you recall....

When the Supremes and the Temptations sang together on the Ed Sullivan show? It wasn't your everyday concert. What these two groups had done was sing a medley of their top hits, but switched. Yep, the Supremes were singing My Girl while the Temptations were singing Baby Love. It was both interesting and entertaining to see how they made each other's hit singles their own for the five minutes that they were on stage.

We Will Never Forget....

The impact that Motown has put on our music world. We still pay tribute to the record label that set the standards.  On February 11, 2011, Barack and Michelle Obama honored Motown with a concert in the white house.  Many of today's singers, like Jamie Foxx and Nick Jonas, covered a variety of Motown songs.  That was a night that revived the Motown sound yet again and is great proof that "we will never forget."
